Cardiogen®
Cardiogen® is brand name for Rubidium Rb-82 myocardial perfusion PET imaging agent. This generator-based position emission tomography (PET) perfusion agent is the only FDA approved PET product for the evaluation of coronary artery disease (CAD) with Myocardial Perfusion Imaging. CardioGen-82 is a unique diagnostic procedure that detects coronary artery disease (CAD) and offers a safe, non-invasive alternative to angiography. It also provides excellent CAD detection, improved efficiency, lower radiation exposure, fewer attenuation artifacts, and improved resolution.
AAA signed a contract with Bracco for the exclusive distribution of this product in Europe. The product is currently only FDA approved. AAA is registering the product in Europe, thus it is currently only available for Clinical Studies or under specific Local Regulator’s authorizations. In 2010, AAA will complete the registration process and foster partnerships with scientific and medical opinion leaders.
